Dallas Glenn Alley, 72 of Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Glenwood, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on Febr. 27, 2007 at Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs. He was born Dec. 14, 1934 in Glenwood, Iowa to Kenneth Monroe and Dora Blanche (Whitehead) Alley. Dallas was united in marriage to Faye Lou Clowers on June 2, 1957 in Glenwood, Iowa. To this union four children were born, Michelle, twin daughters, Debra and Traca, and Steven.

Dallas faithfully served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict in 1951-55 then served in the Air Force from 1957-74 during Vietnam. He was a supporter of the Disabled American Veterans. Dallas was employed as an electrician with the Glenwood Resource Center for 20 years. He was an active member of the First Christian Church in Glenwood serving as an elder and on various committees throughout the years. Dallas enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, traveling, playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted family man. Faye preceded Dallas in death on July 26, 2000. He was later united in marriage to Mary Vander Woude on June 29, 2003 in Glenwood, Iowa. They made their home in Council Bluffs and enjoyed their time spent together. They worshiped at Salem Methodist Church in Council Bluffs as well as the First Christian Church in Glenwood. Preceding Dallas in death were his parents, wife Faye, brother David and infant daughter Debra. He is survived by his wife Mary Alley of Council Bluffs, IA; children, Michelle & husband Gary Johnson of Glenwood, IA; Traca Alley of Glenwood, IA; Steven & wife Angie Alley of Tabor, IA; 7 grandchildren; Amber, Taylor, Elias, Drew, Lauren, Connor and Lydia;1 great-grandchild, Jaydan; step children; Michelle Vander Woude of Omaha, NE; Mark & Lori Vander Woude of Council Bluffs, IA; Michael Vander Woude of Phoenix, AZ; 4 step-grandchildren; Kelsey, Mason, Payton and Cameron; brothers and sisters; Jim & wife Beverly of Council Bluffs, IA; Edna Severn of Council Bluffs, IA; Lois & husband Skip Davis of Orlando, FL; Lyle & wife Dori Alley of Glenwood, IA; Ralph & wife Colleen Alley of Glenwood, IA; Keith & wife Elsie Alley of Council Bluffs, IA; Velma Young of Glenwood, IA; Vena & husband Bob Gregg of Glenwood, IA; many beloved family members and friends.
