Darrell E. Anglen, Sr.

Darrell Elbert Anglen, Sr., 73 of Omaha, Nebraska formerly of Pacific Junction, Iowa entered into rest on December 12, 2015 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born on September 26, 1942 in Pacific Junction, Iowa to Clarence Elbert and Mavis Elizabeth (Fisher) Anglen. Darrell and his six siblings were raised in Pacific Junction.

He was united in marriage to Della Joy Evans on June 20, 1963 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Darrell was employed with Sailor Apartment Complex in the maintenance department and worked construction for Millard Refrigeration. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, working on projects for his family and mushroom hunting.

Preceding Darrell in passing were his parents, son, Darrell Anglen, Jr.; daughter, Charlotte Riche; siblings, Sam Anglen and Shirley Prien. Survivors include his wife Della Anglen; children, Cinthia Anglen, Michele Anglen, Timothy Anglen all of Omaha, Nebraska; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gene Anglen, Barbara Bowley, Della Mae Evans all of Glenwood, Iowa; Connie York of Sparks, Nevada; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.

Interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

    Darrell was my uncle, he will be missed by all that knew him… He had a way of making people feel comfortable because of his personality… He was a good man who loved his family …. May he rest in peace!

    so sorry for this great loss, always was so much fun to be around Darrell, he was always kind and could lift the spirits of everyone around him with his great sense of humor. he could make a tense situation better with just a couple words… we have wonderful memories of good times with him and his family. he will be greatly missed.. thoughts and prayers are with you all. hold on and cherish those fun times…love Cindy Hinkel (cousin)

    So sorry to hear of the passing of Darrell. I’ve known him most of my life and remember him fondly. He always would tease me when I was little and could always make me laugh. I hope he finds peace in Gods Kingdom. May you find peace in all the memories you shared.
