Delores “Dee” Mae (Addison) Ward, 74, of Glenwood, Iowa, formerly of Council Bluffs, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on September 22, 2007 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born November 16, 1932 in Charter Oak, Iowa to Theron “Ted” & Bonnie Lanora (Palmer) Samuelson.
Delores was united in marriage to Howard Ward on June 9, 1973 in Omaha, NE. They moved to Glenwood the following year and enjoyed going camping for many years together. Delores was a homemaker and did a lot of babysitting. She loved to cook, collect cookbooks, bells, stuffed animals, beanie babies and enjoyed listening to country music. She was devoted to her family and loved each of them dearly.
Preceding Delores in death were her parents, husband Howard in 2003, granddaughter, Dawn M. Burke and great-grandson, Mason Tadin. She is survived by her children, Rhonda (Addison) Tadin & Gary Handley of Glenwood, IA; Debbie (Addison) & husband Joel “Oly” Burke of Glenwood, IA; Paul & wife Anna Addison of Council Bluffs, IA; step-daughter, Terri (Ward) Krick of Washington; step-son; Vernon & wife Marivel Ward of California; 8 grandchildren, John Paul & wife Carie Tadin, Devin & wife Lindsay Tadin, Kristin (Tadin) & husband Randy Gamble, & Bonnie Burke all of Glenwood, IA; Christina, Michael, Kevin & Joshua Krick all of Washington; 7 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Shelby, Brady, Logan, Jackson, Kaleb & Baylynn, sister, Lavonne Brown of Council Bluffs, IA; nieces, nephews extended relatives and a host of friends.
