Geneva Susan (Richardson) Wise Stonebraker, 93, of Glenwood, IA, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 6, 2007 at the Red Oak Rehab Center in Red Oak, IA. She was born Sept. 20, 1913 in Mills County, IA to Leslie Leon and Cora Etta (Chambers) Richardson. Geneva graduated from Malvern High School and took correspondence seminary courses.

Geneva was united in marriage to June Henry Wise on Oct. 16, 1931 in Rockport, MO. To this union three daughters were born, Lesta, June and Jonene. Geneva was a devoted Christian, always leading by example. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Glenwood, H.S.C. Club, Friends 90 and 9 Sunday School, Mission Circle, Kensington, and loved bowling with the Tuesday morning coffee league for well over 25 years. Geneva was a homemaker, but was also previously employed with Hawkeye National Insurance Company, cooked at the bowling alley and enjoyed selling Avon for many years. She had a zest for living and was an inspiration to her family and friends. She and Max enjoyed a game of finch each night before they retired for the evening, playing solitaire was also a favorite pastime of hers. The church would enjoy fresh flowers from Geneva’s garden each Sunday during the blooming season. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding Geneva in death were her parents, first husband June Wise, daughters June Plummer and Jonene Anderson, brother Marlin Richardson and great-granddaughter Catherine Harris. She is survived by her husband Max Stonebraker of Red Oak, formerly of Glenwood, IA; daughter Lesta & husband Harold Kahl; 6 grandchildren Deanne Harris, Denise & husband Dennis Crawford, Monica & husband Al Hall, Leonard Kahl, Stephen and wife Monica Kahl, Constance & husband Scott Butterworth; 9 great-grandchildren Bryce Harris & companion Rachel Schoening, Chad Harris, Dustin & wife Laura Crawford, Cory & wife Sunshine Crawford, Lori & husband Cliff Betts, Cheryl Jones & companion Todd Gilleland, Timothy Kahl, Rebecca & husband Wayne Parsons, Valesca Gaylord, step-great grandchildren, Justin and Andrew Mathern, 8 great-great-grandchildren, Lane Harris, Casey Crawford, Paige Crawford, Emileah Betts, Nikolas Betts, Hunter & Alexa Gilleland, step great-great grandchild Mason Grafenstine; niece, Martina & husband Mark Wage of Gun Barrel City, TX; nephew, Marlin Leslie & wife Linda Richardson of Hebron, NE, and a host of friends.
