Harold L. Jennings, 71, of Glenwood, Iowa, formerly of Percival, Iowa and Tabor, Iowa entered into eternal rest on October 14, 2008 at his home in Glenwood, Iowa. He was born March 17, 1937 in Loveland, Colorado to Jake and Leona (Holland) Jennings.
Harold was united in marriage to Patty Jo Perkins on December 3, 1960 in Glenwood, Iowa. To this union three children were born, David, Danny and Denise. Harold was employed as a laborer for Boyd Jones Construction Company and retired in 1994. His grandchildren brought him great joy and he enjoyed attending their activities and spending time with them. He loved his animals and going to flea markets. He and Patty would travel to numerous flea markets, but their favorite was in White Cloud, Kansas. Harold took care of the Waubonsie Cemetery grounds for many years. The church and its surroundings have always been very dear to his heart.
Preceding Harold in death were his parents, wife Patty in 1995, brothers, Gary and wife Leola Jennings and Harvey Jennings. He is survived by his children, David and wife Carol Jennings of Pacific Junction, Iowa; Danny Jennings and special friend Shelly Payne of Red Oak, Iowa; Denise and husband Lee Chambers of Glenwood, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Amber Jennings of Red Oak, Iowa; Kaleigh Eckler of Ft. Lewis, Washington; Andy Jennings of Indianola, Iowa; Steven Liford of Glenwood, Iowa; Zackery Hansen of Glenwood, Iowa; Daniel Jennings of Red Oak, Iowa; Nicole Jennings of Glenwood, Iowa; brother and sisters, Shirley Finchem of Randolph, Iowa; Richard and Barb Jennings of Harrisonville, Missouri; Steve and Bonnie Jennings of Tabor, Iowa; Randy and Becky Jennings of Red Oak, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives, Donna Jennings of Glenwood, Iowa; Philip Hansen of Ft. Hood, Texas; Pam Herzog of Red Oak, Iowa and a host of friends.
