Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One for over 100 years.

James “Jim” B. Wilshire

James “Jim” B. Wilshire, 59 of Glenwood, Iowa entered into rest on September 21, 2017 in Omaha, Nebraska. Jim was born on May 27, 1958 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Ray Carroll and Evelyn Billie (Hills) Wilshire.

Jim was united in marriage to his soulmate Ruth Ann Goodman on December 12, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was blessed with their sons Beau James Wilshire and Justin Nuckolls. Jim loved his family and pampering his wife. They had many good times together in their pool, which Jim referred to as “The Village”. Jim was an avid Chiefs, Royals and Jayhawks fan. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He enjoyed his job as a large account sales manager for Greenleaf Nursery and was a talented landscaper. Memories of his dry humor and quick wit will always bring a smile to those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace Jimmy until we meet again!

Jim and I met at the Orscheln shows, We had seminars together, he showed me the ropes. We went to them every year then I would see him at the Sutherlands shows. We started going to supper after they were over. I always convinced him that I bought the supper the previous year. He would tell me I sound like his boys. He was like a father figure to me. We would talk on the phone and always had great advice for whatever I needed. He will truly be missed, He made a impression on me that will last forever. He was that type of person. I am glad I got to know him!!!!!!

I just happened onto this site just thinking about Jim on this rainy Sunday in Muskogee ok. My friend Jim and my son had, I feel a very unique relationship in that I think we were very
close and not many of my friends or family new Jim and his
don’t know us . I loved Jim and was very saddened to hear he
lost his battle. We prayed with and for Jim so I know he was saved therefore he is in a better place. Josh and I offer our
condolences to the family, we all will miss him but a
part of him will always be with us. At the farm is where we got
away from busy!! There I know he lived life to the fullest. In
his last days we were with him when he took his last 2 white
tails and man he went nuts happy, that’s how we’re going
live. Thank you for sharing him. Randy Garroutte. 918-869-
