Larry Allen Blakemore, 56, of Glenwood, Iowa, formerly of Columbia, MO, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 27, 2006 at his home. He was born Nov. 27, 1949 in Columbia, MO to Harry & Lorraine (Lee) Blakemore.

Larry graduated from Sturgeon High School and attended several technical schools where he received various certifications. He was united in marriage to Susan Mae Gulick on March 31, 2000 in Harrisburg, MO. The couple moved to Glenwood in 2002 to be closer to their grandchildren. They enjoyed canning and gardening together. Larry enjoyed taking the grandchildren hunting, giving them special treats, such as jelly beans and spending time with them. He also liked to watch western shows on television. He was employed with St. Joseph Villa Nursing Home in Omaha, NE as an environmental specialist.

Preceding Larry in death were his parents. He is survived by his wife Susan Blakemore of Glenwood; daughter Angie & husband Gilbert Pruneda of Houston, TX; step-sons Rick & wife Dawn Mitchell of Villisca, IA; Shane Greever & fianc̩ Sarah Olson of Tabor, IA; grandsons: Paige & Kobe Mitchell of Villisca, IA; granddaughters Brandy Crain & Megan Pruneda; brothers Charles & wife Karlyn Blakemore of Columbia, MO; Dennis & wife Bette Blakemore of Sturgeon, MO; Tommy & wife Betty Blakemore of Sturgeon, MO; Gary & wife Christy Blakemore of Harrisburg, MO; step-mother Tootie Hardman of Harrisburg, MO; step-brothers and sisters Gail & wife Lee Lawrence, Vic & wife Sheila Winn, Larry & wife Brenda Winn, Allen & wife Rania Winn, Ronnie & wife Karen Winn, Donnie & wife Kay Winn, Maryann & husband Tom Quinantonia all of Harrisburg, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
