Lewis Sargent, 94, of Elkhorn, NE, formerly of Pacific Junction, IA entered into eternal rest on September 4, 2007 at Life Care Center in Elkhorn. Lewis was united in marriage to Mabel Elsie Kirk on March 2, 1939 in Shenandoah, IA. To this union two children Norman and Frances were born.
Lewis enjoyed farming and raising livestock for many years. He also took pleasure in gardening, raising bees and in later years taking bus trips with Mabel.
Preceding Lewis in death were his parents, wife Mabel, one brother and one sister. He is survived by his son, Norman & wife Beth Sargent of Omaha, NE; daughter, Frances & husband Jack Keown of Omaha, NE; 2 grandchildren, Dr. Melissa Bruhn & husband Don and their three children of Thomasville, GA; Michelle Macnamara & husband Jim & their two children of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law: Lucille Delavan of Glenwood, IA; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Dear Frances & Norman,
I was so sorry to learn of the passing of your Father. I remember your Mother as well, and was sorry to see in your Father’s obituary of her loss. Both of your parents were always kind to me and I remember how devoted they were to one another and each of you.
