Maxine Roenfeldt, 86 of Glenwood, Iowa entered into eternal rest on May 15, 2005 at Select Specialty Hospital in Papillion, NE. She was the fourth child born at home in Mills County, Iowa on Febr. 10, 1919 to Lowell I. & Ruth Mae (Williams) Sell.

Maxine was raised on the family farm three miles east of Glenwood along with her brothers and sisters. She attended Reasoner Country School and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1936. On October 18, 1939, she was united in marriage to Bernard J. Roenfeldt in Plattsmouth, NE. To this union one daughter, Sandra, was born. They farmed and raised livestock for many years near Malvern before retiring and moving to Glenwood. Maxine was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, P.E.O. Chapter F.F. and enjoyed playing in several bridge groups throughout the years. She will always be remembered for her tremendous faith, sense of humor, and love for her entire family and friends.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bernard, in 1997 and brother, Ercell Sell. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra & husband, George Peterson of Glenwood, IA; grandchildren: Georganne & husband Roger Williams of Glenwood, IA; Jonathan & wife Julie Peterson of Merriam, KS; Jonelle & husband Allen Walter of Glenwood, IA; great-grandchildren: Taylor Williams of Glenwood, IA; Aidan Peterson of Merriam, KS; sister: Geneva & husband Walter Phelps of Prescott, AZ; brothers: Dale Sell of Tabor, IA; Vern & wife Helen Sell of Tabor, IA; Duane & wife Ruth Sell of Glenwood, IA; Ed & wife Betty Sell of Malvern, IA; Floyd “Corky” & wife Mary Sell of Omaha, NE; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
