Darrell Christopher Michael “Mike” Newman, 84 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away June 24, 2018 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born on June 25, 1933 in Loup City, Nebraska to Henry and Martha (Koshizkie) Newman.
Mike was united in marriage to JoAnn Mary Kerby. He was employed as an automotive mechanic for many years in Omaha. Mike was very mechanically inclined and was know as the jack of all trades. He kept busy by gardening and working on cars.
Preceding Mike in passing were his parents, son, Clark “Moose” Newman and several siblings. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Newman of Glenwood, Iowa; children, Betra Reeves, Connie Newman, Patty Barber, Mike (Christy) Newman, Chris Newman, Cliff (Kerry) Newman, Maria Newman Camp (Jeff) Leonardo, Mary Jane Newman, Craig Newman; Grandchildren, Kristen, Ashley, Cody, Danny, Nick, Bonnie, C.J., Chloe, Gracie, Jessica, Sami, Dustin, Maggie, Stevie, Randi, Darrell, Doyle and several great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Townsend, Dusty Smith and Kathy Newman; extended relatives and many friends.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Interment will be held in the Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa
