Myrna Harless, 95 of Pacific Junction, Iowa passed away on August 18, 2018 at Glen Haven Nursing Home.

Myrna was born on January 28, 1923 in Pacific Junction, Iowa to Samuel and Henrietta (Livengood) Rupe. Myrna was raised in Pacific Junction and graduated from high school there. She was united in marriage to Bernard Harless on December 11, 1943 in Glenwood, Iowa. To this union two children were born, Karen and Gregg.

Myrna spent her entire life in Pacific Junction with the exception of one year spent in California, where Bernard was stationed during World War II. The remaining 72 years were spent in their one and only home in Pacific Junction. Prior to their marriage Myrna worked in the Martin Bomber Plant during the war. Following their marriage, she enjoyed being a homemaker and loved flower gardening.

Preceding Myrna in passing were her parents, husband, three sisters and four brothers. Survivors include her children Karen (Don) Meredith of Omaha, Nebraska; Gregg (Jackie) Harless of Glenwood, Iowa; grandson Bryan Harless of Virginia Beach, Virginia; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Interment: Martin Chapel Cemetery, Pacific Junction, Iowa.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

    Awww my beautiful pj grandma???? I’m sure going to miss you sweetheart. Your the most beautiful woman in soul I have ever mef. I’m so glad as kids we had you to come to your porch with Bernard as well and laugh and play. You two were the pj grandma and grandpa to all of us. Kind hearts is something this world lacks which makes me greatful to have had you two in our lives. God bless you mera go be with the Lord and your husband. I love you both and I remember Karen and Gregg as well and they were always polite to us as well. God bless you all and rip. Love you merna. Deanna Frazier.

    MRS.MYRNA, THERES SO MANY BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES OF U AND BERNARD. FIRST OFF THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS ALLOWING US KIDS TO STOP BY AND TALK AND JUST SHOWING YOUR LOVE. YOU ALWAYS HAD CANDY FOR ANY KID THT STOPPED BY. YOU AND BERNARD SHOWED SUCH LEADERSHIP IN FOLLOWING THE LORD ALWAYS GIVING AND NVR ONCE JUDGING ANYONE YOU BOTH JUST GAVE AND GAVE. IM SURE AT TIMES WE ALL TESTED YOUR NERVES LOL. BUT ILL NVR FORGET YOU AND BERNARD THE MOST LOVING PPL WE’VE EVER KNOWN. I KNOW OF AT LEAST 60 YEARS WEVE KNOWN YOUR KIND LOVING HEARTS. I WANT YOU BOTH TO KNOW HOW MUCH FRAZIER KIDS LOVED U AND WILL NVR FORGET U. R.I.P. SWEET LADY MAY U BOTH FLY HIGH WITH THE ANGELS..GOD DEFINITELY GAINED AN ANGEL.
