Patricia Anne Williams, 80 of Glenwood, Iowa formerly of Malvern, Iowa entered into rest on March 9, 2018 in Glenwood. She was born on October 11, 1937 in Red Oak, Iowa to Roswell Leonard and Clendora Rachel (Scarf) White. Pat was raised in Malvern and graduated from Malvern High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to John S. “Jack” Williams on January 26, 1957 in Malvern, Iowa. To this union two children were born, Steve and Susan.

Pat began working at Mutual of Omaha for a short time before she became a secretary at the Glenwood State Hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, researching genealogy and was an avid reader. Pat was one of the primary organizer for the White family reunions, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She was a caring and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

Preceding Pat in passing were her parents; siblings and in-laws, Maxine and Lyle Norris; Leo and Leah White; Lorraine and Wilbur Wendt; Norma and Gordon Schultz; Billie White; Lowell McCunn; Robert and Sally White; Ruth Scheel; Jim White; John White; Linda Foote; Donald “Pete” Williams; Doris and Bob Leuzinger; Louise and Jim Irvin. Survivors include her husband, Jack Williams of Glenwood, Iowa; children, Steve (Kim) Williams of Glenwood, Iowa; Susan (Jay) Shipley of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Katie (Paul) Cook of Akron, Pennsylvania; Megan Hutchinson of Baltimore, Maryland; Derrin Williams of Glenwood, Iowa; Nick Hutchinson of San Antonio, Texas; great-grandchild Brody Cook of Akron, Pennsylvania; siblings, Betty McCunn Indianola, Iowa; Wayne (Ann) White of Elkhorn, Iowa; Mary (Bob) Jones of Red Oak, Iowa; Charles (Denise) White of Coin, Iowa; In-laws, Shirley White of Omaha, Nebraska; Doug Foote of Red Oak, Iowa; Edith Williams of Columbus, Ohio; Anne Williams of Paulsdo, Washington; many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or Glenwood Public Library.

Inurnment will be held at a later date.

    I am so sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. She was a joy to be with in the Secretary pool at GRC. A happy, fun, caring person.
