Warren Gale Palmer, 65, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Oto and Anthon, Iowa, Des Moines, Iowa, and Sioux City, Iowa, lost his courageous battle with cancer on February 9, 2009 at the Midlands Living Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born April 8, 1943 in Correctionville, Iowa to Warren Leonard and Eva Gladys (Miller) Palmer.

Warren was employed with R.D.O. Material Handling as a forklift and road tech mechanic. He had a passion for working and restoring older cars and especially loved his pickup. Some of his favorite pastimes were watching westerns, woodworking and he had a true respect for natural wildlife. Warren would always look forward to spending time with his grandchildren.

Preceding Warren in death were his parents. He is survived by his wife, Linda Palmer of Council Bluffs, Iowa; children, Leonard “Lenny ” Palmer and Pam of Des Moines, Iowa; Michael and wife Marla Palmer of Beresford, South Dakota; Terri Libke and Steve of Holstein, Iowa; Warren Palmer, Jr. and Traci of Hinton, Iowa; step-children, Heather and husband Scott Gayer of Ankeny, Iowa; Bradley Kyle of Omaha, Nebraska; 8 grandchildren; sister, Deb Merluzzi of Malvern, Iowa; canine companion, Molly; extended relatives and a host of friends.
