A. Christel (Schaaf) Rogers of Glenwood, Iowa, formerly of Davenport, Iowa and Arlington, Virginia, was born near Randolph, Iowa to John Julius and Ada (Miller) Schaaf. Following high school, she earned a B.A. from the University of Iowa.

Christel was united in marriage to Clarold Eugene Rogers on December 20, 1942 in Randolph, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Clarold Jr., Rebecca and Keith. Christel taught English in the Glenwood Community School system for twenty-three years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, U.M.W., Garden Club, Bridge Clubs, Friends of the Library Ladies Golf League and Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.

Preceding Christel in death were her parents and one brother-in-law, Glen Rogers. She is survived by her husband, Clarold Rogers of Glenwood, Iowa; children, Clarold Jr. & wife Linda Rogers of Atlanta, Georgia; Rebecca and husband Douglas Kadel of Omaha, Nebraska; Keith and wife Tamara Rogers of Portland, Oregon; grandchildren, Sean Young; Ian and Kelly Young; Tim and Riki Kadel; Lindsay Rogers; Spence Rogers; Christena Rogers; Nicole Rogers; great-grandson, Carder Kadel; siblings, Keith and Carolyn Schaaf; Agusta and Don Sheldon; Stanley and Shirely Schaaf; Hawley and Norma Schaaf; sister-in-law, Ardis Rogers; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
