With great sorrow, the Agnew and Osborne families announce the passing of their beautiful daughter, granddaughter, sister and niece, Alexandria Paige Osborne.
Alex, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on December 19, 1998, to the parents of Kerri Agnew-Osborne and Scott Osborne. She passed away October 1, 2023, in Houston, Texas.
She started her education in Glenwood, Iowa, and graduated from Manvel (Texas) High School in May 2017. She competed in dance throughout high school, before turning her passion toward weightlifting.
Alex had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. She loved animals, from kittens on her uncle Alan’s farm to the many family pets she had growing up. Alex even loved the neighbor’s guinea pigs she was quite allergic to!
Her legacy will carry on forever, reminding us that our time on earth is short but every moment is precious. Speak words of kindness. Seek out the good in people. Remember that we have two hands: one for helping ourselves and one for helping others.
“A limb has fallen from our family tree. I hear a voice that whispers, ‘Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good I lived while I was strong.’”
Alex is survived by and will forever be missed by mother Kerri Agnew-Osborne and Kerri’s partner James Ortega of Rosharon, Texas; father Scott Osborne of Glenwood; sister Briana (Agnew) Herman of Houston, Texas, and Briana’s family (husband Brooks and son Haedyn); sister Rachel Ortega and girlfriend Maizie Jensen; grandma Connie Agnew of Glenwood; grandma Faye Hampton of Des Moines; grandpa John Osborne of Omaha, Nebraska; uncle Alan Agnew of Glenwood; uncle Kevin Agnew of Flower Mound, Texas, and Kevin’s family (wife Suzie and son Elliot); uncle John Osborne and family of Glenwood; and Brian Osborne and family of Des Moines.
The family has designated JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) for memorial contributions.

My condolences to the family and friends at this terrible time. I only knew Alex for the last 6 months and although our friendship was unconventional, she was one of the most beautiful, kind and compassionate souls I’ve ever met. The love she bore others was astounding and I am immensely proud of her strength and determination. She will always be someone I think of often.
Rest in peace Angel
