Ardis May LaRock, 73, of Glenwood, IA entered into eternal rest on May 20, 2010 at her home in Glenwood after suffering from lung cancer. She was born on September 28, 1936 in Hartford, CT to Charles and Roma (Weymouth) Wilson. She met Donald LaRock in 1954 on Valentine’s Day. They were joined in holy matrimony on December 18, 1954 in Lee, MA. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Ronald Charles LaRock and Donna Lee LaRock. They lived in Craryville, NY until 1969 when they moved to Glenwood, Iowa. She was a loving mother and devoted wife of 23 years until Don’s death on September 20, 1977.
Ardis was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald. She is survived by her children, Ron & Kris LaRock of Shenandoah, IA; Donna & Rich Dickeson of Glenwood, IA; sister, Annette Robinson of Hartford, CT; grandchildren, Michelle & Steve Sprague of Audubon, IA; Brian & Amanda Jens of Council Bluffs, IA; Kristina Jens of Omaha, NE; Amy & Dustin Terry of Essex, IA; Jacey LaRock and Emily LaRock of Shenandoah, IA; Hayley Perkins of Tucson, AZ; Ardis also leaves 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
