Betty Bernice (Yates) Hindman, 90 of Glenwood, Iowa entered into rest on April 4, 2018 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born on December 31, 1927 to Raymond Creal and Mabel Phylurah (Ross) Yates. Betty was raised on farm along with her six siblings. She was united in marriage to Willard “Bounce” Carlton Hindman on May 10, 1947 in Hiawatha, Kansas. To this union five children were born, Pat, Dale, Randy, Pam and Carla. Betty enjoyed raising her family and was employed as a phone inspector at Western Electric until her retirement. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Glenwood. Betty enjoyed camping, fishing, canning, dancing and playing games, especially bingo. She loved cooking for family gatherings.

Preceding Betty in passing were her parents, husband, Willard “Bounce” Hindman,  son, Dale Ray Hindman; siblings, Wendell Yates, Allene Curtis, Pat Vohs and Gary Yates. Survivors include her children, Pat (Jack) McManigal of Glenwood, Iowa; Randy (Pat) Hindman of Villisca, Iowa; Pam (Dick) Stipe of Glenwood, Iowa; Carla (Bob) Bolter of Omaha, Nebraska; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Darrell Yates of North Hollywood, California; Don (Jackie) Yates of Mineola, Iowa; sisters-in-laws, Carolyn Yates and Arvella Bacon both of Glenwood, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church or Glenwood Fire and Rescue.
