Betty Jean Wallace, 84 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away July 17, 2020 at her home in Glenwood surrounded by her family. She was born April 17, 1936 in Clarinda, Iowa to Albert Franklin and Geraldine Margaret (Colwell) Hollis.
Betty was united in marriage to Robert Francis Wallace on April 16, 1955 in Clarinda, Iowa. To this union six children were born; Angela, Cynthia, Staci, Brenda, Robert Jr. and Kelli. Betty was employed as a cook with the Glenwood Community School System. She was a member of Vine Street Bible Church. Betty loved her family and enjoyed the time they had together.
Preceding Betty in passing were her parents, infant son, infant brother, grandsons Chris Raymond and Shane Woods; sister Patty Usher and nephew Curtis Usher. Survivors include her husband Bob of 65 years, children Angela (Tim) Hagen, Cynthia Wallace, Staci Wallace, Brenda Woods (Jeff Edberg), Robert Jr. (Sherry) Wallace all of Glenwood, Iowa; Kelli Wallace (Scott McGarvey) of Omaha, Nebraska; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; niece Becky Murphy; nephew Bill Usher; extended relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vine Street Bible Church, Glenwood, Iowa.

Our sincere condolences to you Bob, and your whole family at the loss of your wife, their mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered as the wonderful person she was. Always helpful with our family and as Jennifer grew up and we worked together on rabbit projects. She will be missed by many.

Oh Bob, I just heard the news and am so very sorry Betty has gone on before us. She was such a sparkling lady. We had such fun together in Red Hats and I am honored to have been her friend. Hugs to you and all the family. May you find comfort in the many years of happy memories you made together.
We will miss her greatly. We sure had fun at shows and missouri state fair.with her. Bob we hope you and your family all love that everybody had for her.

I knew Betty for over 50 years. I always enjoyed visiting her and Bob and their home each May. Betty was a great cook and always made us feel welcome. My condolences to her family, she will be missed.
