Beverlie “Jeanne” (Hayes) Leet, 88 of Glenwood, Iowa formerly of Silver City, Iowa passed away on February 14, 2017 in Tabor, Iowa. She was born on May 1, 1928 in Silver City, Iowa to Hugh and Irma (Boehme) Hayes. Jeanne was raised in Silver City and went on to earn her college degrees in the field of education and administration. She was united in marriage to Richard L. Leet on June 29, 1947 in Silver City, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with one son Rick. Jeanne was a longtime employee for the Iowa School for the Deaf and the Illinois Department of Education in administrative and supervisory positions and certified teaching certificates for the State of Illinois. She loved reading and cooking in her spare time. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Preceding Jeanne in passing were her parents and husband Richard on December 12, 2005. Survivors include her son Rick and wife Terry Leet of Glenwood, Iowa; grandchildren, Matthew Leet of Silver City, Iowa, Nathan (Nikki) Leet of Malvern, Iowa; Jaclyn (John) McCann of Millard, Nebraska; April and Scott Maher of Foristel, Missouri and Alicia and David Kenoyer of Raleigh, North Carolina; 10 great-grandchildren; Austin Walsh, Braydon Daigh, Mason, Maddie and Bentley Leet, Bailey Baker, Ethan and Liam McCann, Abigail and Isabella Kenoyer and many friends.
