Billy Ross Lucy of Phoenix, Arizona, age 26, tragically passed away Feb 6th, 2019 in Mesa, Arizona.  Billy grew up in Glenwood, Iowa and attended Glenwood Community High School.  He was a state qualifier for wrestling and soccer.  He also participated in Cross Country, Track and Show Choir.  During his high school years, Billy enjoyed working at No Frills (previously Kaiman’s Grocery Store) and Oasis Restaurant.

Billy is well known for his amazing smile, infectious laughter, generous spirit and heart of gold.

Billy completed Air Force Bootcamp at Lackland Air Force Base before he moved to Arizona where he had many great friends.

Billy is loved and survived by his parents, Dirk and Melinda Lucy; brothers, AJ Lucy and Isaac Lucy; sisters, Heather Lucy (Travis Fineran), Morgan Teckmeyer (Grant), Amber Lucy, Danika Strawmier (Kael), Sidney Lucy, Tonya Garcia and Tina Lippert.  Grandparents, Harry and Alice Haase, Mark and Jeannine Lucy and Betty Schuster.  Billy is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Celebration of Life services will be held at Crossroads Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa, 1307 N 28th St, Council Bluffs IA on February 23rd, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Please join us to celebrate his life. We appreciate your  thoughts and prayers.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

    Dear Harry and Alice and Melinda and Dirk and family,
    We are so so sorry to learn of this terrible tragedy. Though we were neighbors on Hazel Street unfortunately we didn’t know Billy well but our hearts are breaking for all of you. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers now. May your own happy memories be a source of comfort to you now and may God grant you strength.

    Dirk and family….I have no idea what to say at the lose of Billy. His death was senseless and tragic. However, I know that he was loved by you all. The memories of his life will be cherished.. My prayers are with you all. You raised good children and God will welcome Billy with open arms..
