Brian Dale Pierce

Brian Dale Pierce, 52 of Malvern, IA entered into eternal rest on Aug. 10, 2013 at the University Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. He was born Jan. 6, 1961 in Council Bluffs, IA to Norman Dale & Colleen Jane (Kline) Pierce.

Brian enjoyed his employment as a Corrections Officer for Douglas County Dept. of Corrections and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. Brian attended his children’s various sporting events and also loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Preceding Brian in death was his father, Norman Pierce; brother, Tom Pierce and niece Sara Sell. Survivors include his mother, Colleen Pierce of Malvern, IA: children, Brittany Richter of Glenwood, IA; Kaleb Richter, Ethan Richter, & Noah Richter all of Malvern, IA; sister, Shannon & husband Stephen Rubes of Council Bluffs, IA; nieces, Shari & husband Jarrod Bakker & their children, Caeden, Cooper & Olivia of Dike, IA; Samantha & husband Tanner Winter & daughter, Teagan of El Reno, OK & many friends.

Interment will be held at a later date.

A memorial fund has been established.
