Christopher George Leon Scott, 47 of Silver City, Iowa formerly of Pacific Junction, Iowa entered into rest on March 22, 2016 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born December 26, 1968 in Fort Riley, Kansas to George Beman & Marcia Waynne (Hopkinson) Scott.
Chris was employed at Park Place for 22 years as a caregiver and recently become employed at Casey’s in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Steelers and Hawkeye fan. He also enjoyed listening to music and being with his family and friends.
Preceding Chris in passing were his grandparents and parents. Survivors include his significant other, Marie Burkhart of Silver City, Iowa; brothers, Jeff Scott of Maryville, Missouri; Greg Scott of Glenwood, Iowa; Nick Scott of Randolph, Iowa; 5 nieces, 1 nephew and many friends.
Interment will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

I’m truly sorry to hear of Chris’ passing my prayers to his family and friends. He was joy to work with at Park Place years ago.

Iwas lucky enough to get to know Chris from Park Place. He was working with the blind individuals and he was excellent with them. I hadn’t seen him in years and saw him Monday night while I was going into the Doller Store. We were able to visit and catch up. I am so grateful that I had the chance to visit with him. Chris was a great man, and he will be greatly missed by all. My deepest sympathies to his family for your loss. My thoughts are with you during this time.

I have known Chris for many years. He always had a smile on his face and would help me with whatever I asked. He treated people kindly and the people he cared for loved him. He will truly being missed. Marie I am sorry for your loss. I pray God comforts you all in this time of sorrow.
Very sad to hear about Chris’ passing. I only knew him a short while, but i will always remember his kindness and loving care he had always shown to the Park Place clients. My prayers are out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
