Dale Lee Sargent, 70 of Glenwood, Iowa formerly of Pacific Junction, Iowa passed away August 9, 2023 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Dale was born September 18, 1952 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Merrill Lee and Elva Eyvonne (Chamberlain) Sargent.
Dale was raised on the family farm and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1970. He worked on the homecoming parade committee for many years. Dale farmed with his father, brother and nephews. He was united in marriage to Pamela Elaine Hunt on April 3, 1987 in Silver City, Iowa. Dale and Pam are members and attended Grace United Methodist Church.
Dale was a member of Heartland Amateur Radio and communicated with many people on his ham radio. In his earlier years he enjoyed, scuba diving and was an instructor taking many trips to Cozumel to certify divers. He was also on the setup crew for the Persuaders Band. Dale and Pam loved taking cruises to the Caribbean and went on over 30 cruises along with family and friends. There’s no doubt that on August 9th Dale cruised to heaven to join those that have gone before him.
Preceding Dale in passing were his parents, brother Ron Sargent and parent-in-laws Bill and Pat Hunt.
Survivors include his wife Pam Sargent; sister-in-law Pam Sargent; nephews Matthew and wife Laura Sargent and their children Kate and Jack; Daniel and wife Courtney Sargent and their son Briggs all of Glenwood, Iowa; Aunt Naomi Christensen, extended relatives and friends.
Interment: Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa.
Memorial donations may be directed to The Glenwood Volunteer Fire Association or Hillcrest Hospice.
