Dallas Merle Moore, 90 of Papillion, Nebraska formerly of Pacific Junction, Iowa passed away October 2, 2019 in Omaha, Nebraska. Dallas was born on November 27, 1928 to Robert and Priscilla Moore at home in rural Mills County, Iowa. The family lived in Malvern and moved to Glenwood where he graduated from high school in 1947.
Dallas was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Marian Hunt on June 12, 1948 in Glenwood, Iowa. To this union three daughters were born Linda, Kathryn and Mary Beth. They resided in Glenwood before moving to Council Bluffs. In 1978 Dallas and Marian bought Oak Haven Farm in Pacific Junction where they resided until they moved to Mable Rose Estates in 2011.
Dallas was retired from the Department of Transportation in 1987 after 35 years of service. In his earlier years he was in the National Guard. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and amateur archeologist. Dallas was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Preceding Dallas in passing were his parents, wife of 66 years who passed in 2014, sisters Roberta Kizzier and Helen Thurman. Survivors include daughters Linda (David) Harmon of Lincoln, Illinois; Kathryn (Dwight) Koehler of Omaha, Nebraska; Mary Beth (Lowell) Kennedy of Pacific Junction, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, Carrie (Anthony) Duong, Katie (Miles) Allen, Megan (Joel) Lauffer, Lauren (Kevin) Hall, Allison Koehler and Matthew Koehler; 7 great- grandchildren, extended relatives and friends.
Interment, Silver City Cemetery, Silver City, Iowa.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

Was sorry to learn of Dallas’s passing. I will not be able to attend his funeral, but will be remembering all of the great bridge games we had. My condolences to the family. larry

I remember attending DAR meetings in the home of Dallas and Marion Moore. Great people.
