David Richard Radcliff, Jr. 53 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away at his home in Glenwood on December 19, 2020. He was born on September 22, 1967 in Omaha, Nebraska to David Richard Radcliff, Sr. and Kathie (Kurcz) Radcliff.
David was raised in Council Bluffs and graduated from Lewis Central High School in 1986. He attended Trade School to become a Master Plumber and worked independently for many years. He was an advocate for mentoring teens and was actively involved in TeamMates. David also volunteered at the Ministerial Food Pantry twice a week. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.
David was preceded in death by his father David Richard Radcliff, Sr. and step-father Larry Voss. Survivors include his special partner Lori Groves of Glenwood, Iowa; sons Jake Radcliff; Josh Radcliff both of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Jack Groves of Omaha, Nebraska; Wyatt Groves of Council Bluffs, Iowa; mother Kathie Voss of Mineola, Iowa; siblings Jeff (Juli) Radcliff of Houston, Texas; Nikki (Matt) McMasters of Omaha, Nebraska; Debbie (Seth) Thiesen of Glenwood, Iowa; Rachael Voss of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Cheryl (Frank) Bramhall of Papillion, Nebraska; Cindy Gottsch & (late husband Bobby Gottsch) of Hastings, Nebraska; Kristi (Todd) Gould of Papillion, Nebraska; many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

This is heart breaking. Our favorite memories of David were from his high school years. Not only was he a leader as LC’s quarterback, he was also fun to have in the classroom! David’s smile was contagious! Prayers of strength and comfort for David’s boys and family. There is a party in Heaven!
It’s always bittersweet to see the all-too-soon passing of a former student. I have great memories of David, and proud to read of his. accomplishments. Prayers and condolences to his family.

My name is Brady Werger Dave was my staff and best friend I met Dave a the Glenwood Resource center he was one of my staff. after working as a RTW he went the the G.R.C. Maintence department to be a plumber as I always told Dave such a crappy job he loved it After my move to the community Dave was already my mentor and volunteer in the past year Dave and I enjoyed our time together as he made a big difference in my life we went swimming in his new pool and went driving around Mills county in his son’s jeep with the doors and windows off I want to say Dave was a great guy and made a difference in my life and I pray for Lori and the rest of Dave’s family you are all in my prayers.
