Deloris Ann Pein

Deloris Ann (Meier) Pein, 81 of Glenwood, IA entered into rest on Oct. 9, 2016 in Papillion, NE. She was born April 10, 1935 in Niobrara, NE to John & Anna (Pavelka) Meier. Deloris graduated from Center High School, Center, NE in 1952 and attended nurse’s training from 1952-53 in Yankton, South Dakota at Sacred Heart Nursing School.

Deloris was united in marriage to Hans Henry “Hank” Pein on Sept. 19, 1954 in Glenwood, IA. To this union four children were born, Karie, Kim, Janelle and Mike; Deloris was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she previously played the organ and sang in the choir. Deloris was employed at Kaiman’s and Demory’s grocery stores. She enjoyed quilting, being a homemaker and loving wife and mother.

Preceding Deloris in passing were her parents, infant daughter, Janelle Renee Pein; brothers, Kenneth “Dick” Meier and William “Bill” Meier. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Henry “Hank” Pein of Glenwood, IA; children, Karie Pein of Omaha, NE; Kim Pein of Canada; Mike Pein and fiancÌ© Kristi Batten of Glenwood, IA; grandchildren, Miles, Ashlea, Kyle and Lyndsey; extended relatives and many friends.

Interment will be held in the Glenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Glenwood, Iowa.
