Donald “Don” Clair Blezek, 84 of Glenwood, Iowa entered into rest on September 27, 2017 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born on June 22, 1933 in Fremont County, Iowa to Clair Francis and Dorothy Lucille (Dodd) Blezek and was raised in Randolph, Iowa.
Don was united in marriage to Judith Marie Hamm on December 19, 1958 in Glenwood, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Donald Douglas, LuAnne Marie and Kenneth Edward. Don was employed as a Service Manager for Nissen Ford until his retirement and continued farming until he was no longer able. He honorably served his country in the Army and was a member of the Sidney American Legion and Grace United Methodist Church. He was a talented woodworker and loved spending time with his family.
Preceding Don in passing were his parents and sister, Marilyn Rhoades. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, children, Donald Douglas (Glenda) Blezek of Le Mars, Iowa; LuAnne Marie (Donald) Koeppe of Wahoo, Nebraska; Kenneth Edward (Traci Ann) Blezek of Glenwood, Iowa; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Allen (Kay) Blezek of Lincoln, Nebraska; extended relatives and many friends.
Interment will be held in the West Liberty Cemetery, rural Glenwood, Iowa.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
