Donald Eugene James, 91 of Tabor, Iowa formerly of Farragut, Iowa passed away August 30, 2021 in Hamburg, Iowa. He was born on August 7, 1930 in Osceola, Iowa to Lawrence Daniel and Olive Doris (Patterson) James.
Don graduated from Leroy High School. He was united in marriage to Donna Jean Patton on March 20, 1951. They just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Don faithfully served his country in the Army from 1951-1953. The couple were members of the United Methodist Church in Farragut prior to moving to Tabor where they belonged to the First Christian Church.
Don was employed as a supervisor in the seed corn industry. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department in Farragut and was a driver for the Tabor Rescue. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with each and every member.
Preceding Don in passing were his parents, daughter Peggy James, daughter-in-law Margie James and brother Lawrence D. James, Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife Donna James of Tabor, Iowa; children Michael James of Sperry, Iowa; Dennis and Julie James of Tabor, Iowa; Debra and Brian Walston of O’Fallon, Missouri; Randy and Jean Ann James of North Liberty, Iowa; grandchildren Katy and Jeremy Marvel, Kyle and Elizabeth James, Jake and Nicole James, Dawn Walston and Toty Ypiranga, Tyler and Christine Walston, Sara and Pat Otten, Travis and Heather James, Kevin and Kristen James, 9 great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Interment with Military Honors, Tabor Cemetery, Tabor, Iowa.
Memorial donations may be directed to: Farragut Volunteer Fire Department, First Christian Church in Tabor or United Methodist Church in Farragut.

So sorry for your lose. Always enjoyed working with Don on Fire Dept and church projects. Always had a big smile and when he talked you wanted to listen. Will be missed by all who knew him. Ours prayers go out to the family. May he Rest In Peace.
