Donna Bishop, 88 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away December 10. 2022.
Donna retired from Mutual of Omaha in 1988 after 35 years of dedicated service. After retirement, she served as President of the Glenwood Community School Board, was a member of the Glenwood Friends of the Library and United Methodist Women’s Group. Donna loved her family and friends and enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, reading, golfing, playing more bridge and going to the YMCA. She is preceded in death by husband Don and parents Reece and Mildred Sutherland. She is survived by son Kirk, daughter-in-law Lynda, granddaughter Nina, daughter Pam and a multitude of friends.
The family invites friends to join them at Keg Creek Brewery, Glenwood, Iowa on December 23, 2022 at 3:30-6:30 to celebrate Donna and a life well-lived.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Glenwood Public Library or Grace United Methodist Church.
Private graveside services: Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa.

Kirk, I am sad to hear about your mom’s passing. She was a super lady – I usually saw her during Homecoming weekend and she always took time to talk with me. I am honored to know her.

Donna always had a smile for everyone. She was made for her HR position. Her ability to maintain
a positive attitude even when dealing with very challenging assignments contributed to her strong
leadership. I feel very fortunate to have worked with Donna at Mutual. Sending prayers and warmest
regards to her family.
