Doris M. Reisner-Wendt, 100 went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2024. She was born on October 8, 1923 in Dakota City, Iowa to Thomas Jefferson and Mable Alice (Quivey) Reynolds.
Doris was united in marriage to Carl Edward Reisner on December 31, 1946 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. To this union five children were born: Kathie, Sherrill, Gregg, Karen and Ron. The family relocated to Glenwood in 1962. Doris was employed at Robinson’s Jewelry as a clerk for 18 years. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Dorcas Circle, American Legion Auxiliary, and The Old Sew and Sews. She helped make many beautiful quilts through the years.
Carl passed away on February 10, 1977 and Doris was later united in marriage to Leon Albert Wendt on October 1, 1988 in Glenwood, Iowa. They enjoyed their time spent together with their bonus families. Leon passed away on November 9, 2020. Doris was also preceded by her son Gregg Reisner and eight siblings.
Survivors include children Kathie (Kate) Scopac of Bellevue, Nebraska, Sherrill (Sherri) Bomer and husband Dale Brown of Glenwood, Iowa; daughter-in-law Kim Reisner of Mesa, Arizona; Karen Reeves of Omaha, Nebraska; Ron and wife Kathy Reisner of Glenwood, Iowa; step-children Lana Novak, Debbie Kistler and Brenda Beier along with 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Interment, Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa.

Sending sincere condolences to Doris’s family. She was a lovely Christian lady, who loved her Lord. Her faith showed in her actions and deeds, always showing a wonderful example of Jesus love for all.
My sincere sympathy to Doris’s family. Doris was a wonderful, Christian lady and always ready to share her faith. She is at peace now, but will be greatly missed by all of those left behind.
Doris was such a lovely Christian lady. Doris and my Mom, Lorraine, were dear friends. Ronnie sang at my Mother’s funeral. She served in the “Ladies Aid” society at the Lutheran Church. She’s at Peace now and with the Lord. Sharon Kruse, Mesa, AZ.
