Duane Allen Oliver, 55 of Glenwood, IA entered into eternal rest in Council Bluffs, IA on Dec. 21, 2012 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Duane was born Nov. 16, 1957 in Omaha, NE to Clifford & Peggy (Perkins) Oliver.
Duane graduated from Glenwood High School with the Class of 1976. He was previously employed with the Glenwood State Hospital School for over 27 years and presently working at No Frills Grocery Store for the past 4 years in Glenwood. He was a hard worker and in his spare time he enjoyed searching for scrap metal and loved to listen to Swap Time.
Preceding Duane in death were his grandparents and parents. He is survived by his siblings, Diane & husband Mike Fichter of Gillette, WY; Deborah & husband John Meisinger of Glenwood, IA; Donna & husband Ed Guyer of Red Oak, IA; Dennis Oliver of Emerson, IA: several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
Inurnment will be held in the Glenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

Our Condolences to the family. Every new school year when all us kids were seated in aphlabetly order Duane and I would be sitting next to each other. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Duane’s passing. I do not know Duane’s family except for Dennis, here in Emerson. My sympathy to all of his family. I worked with Duane some at the Glenwood Resource Center. He was a good person.
