INTERMENT: Glenwood Cemetery
Eileen Rupe, 92, of Glenwood, Iowa entered into eternal rest on Nov. 16, 2010 at Glen Haven Home in Glenwood. She was born in Cheshire, England. Eileen met Gerald Richard Rupe while he was stationed in England during WWII. They eventually married on Aug. 28, 1943 in Birkenhead, England. To this union one son, Michael W. was born.
The couple owned and operated Rupe’s Pub in Glenwood from 1955-1982. Their son then continued the business.
Preceding Eileen in death were her husband and sisters. She is survived by her son, Michael W. & wife Lois Rupe of Glenwood, Iowa; two grandsons, Michael T. Rupe and Nicholas J. Rupe; extended relatives and a host of friends.
