Elmer Verl Hershey, 77 of Pacific Junction, Iowa entered into eternal rest on May 3, 2005 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born April 19, 1928 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Verl and Mae (Gillespie) Hershey.
Elmer was united in marriage on Dec. 23, 1960 to Helena Sylvia Devers. To this union one son Dwayne was born. Elmer faithfully served his country during WWII. He was employed with Burlington Northern Railroad for 30 years and was a railroad union member. He had a passion for collecting trains, taking long walks and he loved cars.
Preceding Elmer in death were his parents and one sister Lucy White. He is survived by his wife Helena Hershey of Pacific Junction, IA; son Dwyane Hershey of Pacific Junction, IA; sister Wilma Besta of Bellevue, NE; several nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.
