Elva Lorraine Roenfeld, 90 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away June 9, 2023 at Glen Haven Village. She was born June 11, 1932 in Glenwood, Iowa to Ralph Edward and Trinnie (Frazier) Merritt.

Elva was united in marriage to Albert William Roenfeld on March 21, 1953 in Glenwood, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Tami, Teresa and Tim. Elva raised a big garden and enjoyed her home and  family. Elva was a true servant of God and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Preceding Elva in passing were her parents, husband, brothers Glen Merritt, Ed Merritt and Lynn Merritt; sister Ethel (John) Wray; sister-in-law Betty Merritt. Survivors include her children Tami Settles of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Teresa (Vince) Foster of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; Tim (Kim) Roenfeld of Glenwood, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Carrie Merritt and Fern Jones of Glenwood, Iowa and her best friend since childhood, Irene Schoening of Glenwood, Iowa; extended relatives and friends.

Interment: Mineola Cemetery, Mineola, Iowa.
