Ervin William Jens, 94 of Glenwood, IA entered into rest on March 15, 2015 in Glenwood, IA. He was the third child born on the family farm on June 3, 1920 to Paul & Helen (Roenfeld) Jens. Ervin was raised on the farm and graduated from Glenwood High School. He was united in marriage to Wilma Frances Sell on Nov. 19, 1941 in Glenwood. To this union one son Owen was born. Ervin farmed and enjoyed being a steward to the land & livestock until his retirement. His interests included playing cards, dancing, fishing and watching baseball. He also bowled on the Men’s League for many years.
Preceding Ervin in passing were his parents, wife, 3 sisters, Marjorie Jens Fickel, Linda Jens Green and infant, Lenora Jens. Survivors include his son, Owen & wife Linda Jens of Glenwood, IA; granddaughter, Denise Jens of Glenwood, IA; 2 step-grandchildren, Lisa Leu & Jason Dalton of Glenwood, IA; 6 step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
Memorials may be directed to the Mineola Cemetery Fund.

A note to Denise
You were so special in this wonderful man’s life, from the time you were born to the end when you so tenderly and gently cared for him in his last days. He was blessed to have you in his life, as I and your dad are!
My dear family – I was saddened to hear of the passing of my special Uncle Erv – however, that sadness was quickly replaced with joy that he is once again united with the love of his life, dear Aunt Wilma. Although I can not be with you in the physical [work] please know that I am thinking of you, praying for you, and loving each and every one of you!
