Frances Marguerite Oliphant, 67 of Pacific Junction, Iowa entered into rest on January 25, 2016 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born May 6, 1948 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Carnival “Carn” Anderson and Frances Kathryn (Wilson) Godsey. She was raised in Pacific Junction and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1966. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dale Leon Oliphant on December 2, 1967 in Pacific Junction, Iowa. To this union two children were born, Christopher and Clint.
Marguerite enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. She was a dedicated caregiver, always putting others before herself. In earlier years, she made beautiful crafts, recipe books and numerous photo albums. She loved gardening and making floral arrangements and always had fresh flowers in her home.
Preceding Marguerite in passing were her parents and siblings, John Godsey, Kathryn Taylor, Jacqueline Holmes and Jim Godsey. Survivors include her loving husband Dale Oliphant of Pacific Junction, Iowa; children Christopher and wife Jennifer Oliphant of Glenwood, Iowa; Clint Oliphant and Laurin Kinser of Pacific Junction, Iowa; grandchildren Shelby, Zachary, Cody, Anderson, Cyrus, Landynn and Aurora; great-granddaughter Aubree; siblings Scott Godsey of Missouri; Sam Godsey of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Steve Godsey of Missouri; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Interment will be held in the West Liberty Cemetery, rural Glenwood, Iowa.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
