Francis Clair “Bud” Dashner, Jr. 93 of Glenwood, Iowa formerly of Pacific Junction, Iowa passed away July 26, 2020 in Glenwood. He was born on February 25, 1927 in Glenwood, Iowa to Francis Clair, Sr. and Eathel Loleta (Cloyd) Dashner.
Francis faithfully served his country in the Army during WWII. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Joan Fickel on August 1, 1948 in Glenwood, Iowa. To this union three sons were born, Michael, Robert and Christopher. The family lived on the farm in rural Pacific Junction where Francis was a steward of the land. In later years he and Joan spent their winters in Sun City, Arizona. Following the passing of Joan, Francis later moved to Linnwood Estates. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Preceding Francis in passing were his parents, wife, son Michael and infant sister Joyce Dashner. Survivors include his sons Robert (Angela) Dashner of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Chris (Nancy) Dashner of Glenwood, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; sister Joanne (John) Flint of Charles City, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Memorial services to be held at a later date.
A memorial fund has been established.

So very sad to hear of this news but he no longer suffers. Only knew Bud for such a short time but he was such an adorable, loving individual!! Will miss hearing about him (since Covid) from my mother, Norma. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

So sorry for your loss, Bud and Joan traveled to Alaska with us in 1997, and we thought a lot of both of them.
