Gary Franklin Johnson

Gary Franklin Johnson, 65 of Dunnellon, Florida passed away August 12, 2021 in Ocala, Florida. He was born on December 9, 1955 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Gerald and Patricia (Martindale) Johnson.

Gary was united in marriage to Michelle Diane Alley on May 17, 1987 in Glenwood, Iowa. They moved to Florida in 2013 where he was a park manager. Gary mastered the art of taxidermy and was involved in ministries throughout his life. He was passionate about music, antiquing, keeping and orderly and clean home and enjoyed cooking. Spending time with his family was always special to him.

Preceding Gary in passing was his son Nicholas Johnson, Don McMahan and father Gerald Johnson. Survivors include his loving wife Michelle Johnson of Dunnellon, Florida; mother Patricia McMahan of Glenwood, Iowa; children Gina (Carl) Hall of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Eric (Tiffany) Johnson of Tabor, Iowa; Amber (Justin) Farnan of Glenwood, Iowa; Eli (Monica) Johnson of Texas; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings Jackie (Patrick) Johnson-Murphy of Ocala, Florida; Beth Ann (Rick) Anderson of Reno, Nevada; Susan Hansen and Michael McMahan, both of Glenwood, Iowa; Jeff Johnson of Salt Lake City, Utah; extended relatives and friends.

Private interment, West Liberty Cemetery, rural Glenwood, Iowa.

The family will direct memorials.
