Gerald Andrew Plummer, 77 of Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Glenwood, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on February 14, 2007 at Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born Jan. 13, 1930 in Walthill, NE to Guy William & Reba Ann (Hamilton) Plummer.
Gerald attended school in the Malvern School System. He was united in marriage to June Louise Wise on July 27, 1950 in Glenwood, Iowa. To this union two daughters were born; Deanne and Denise. The family lived in Council Bluffs for a few years before moving to Glenwood in 1962. Gerald began farming and enjoyed caring for the land for as long as he was able. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Glenwood, serving on many church boards through the years as well as rural Township Trustee. He enjoyed attending and following the St. Louis Cardinals and watched numerous western programs on television in recent years.
Preceding Gerald in death were his parents, wife June on April 26, 2003 and granddaughter Catherine Harris. He is survived by daughters; Deanne Harris of West Fork, Arkansas; Denise & husband Dennis Crawford of Glenwood, IA; grandchildren; Bryce Harris of Glenwood, IA; Chad Harris of Syracuse, NY; Dustin Crawford of Wimberley, TX; Cory Crawford of Glenwood, IA: great-grandchildren; Lane Harris, Casey Crawford, Paige Crawford, and Mason Grafenstine; brothers; Robert Plummer of Glenwood, IA; Wallace Plummer of Blair, NE; Gail Plummer of Atlantic, IA: father-in-law; Max Stonebraker of Red Oak, IA; sister-in-law; Lesta & husband Harold Kahl of Hastings, IA; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
