Jack Leigh Edmonds, 81 of Glenwood, Iowa formerly of Pacific Junction, Iowa passed away July 2, 2019 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born May 1, 1938 in Glenwood, Iowa to James Herbert and Rohease E. (Campbell) Edmonds.
Following high school, Jack faithfully served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the Army National Guard. He was a heavy equipment operator for his entire professional career. Jack served his community as Councilman and Mayor of Pacific Junction. He also volunteered his time through his HAM radio involvement. His personal life was spent enjoying time with his family.
Preceding Jack in passing were his parents, sisters Ada “Pat” Anthony and Mary Miner. Survivors include his wife Carol Edmonds of Glenwood, Iowa; children James Edmonds of Glenwood, Iowa; Mark Crum, Kelly Houchin and Robin Cromconn all of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; step-sons, Jeff (Evonne) Kates; Terry Kates all of Glenwood, Iowa; Mark Kates of Stanton, Iowa; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended relatives and many friends.
Memorials may be directed to the Navy-Marine Corps relief society.
