Jack Lee Rusco, 88 of Lenox, Iowa formerly of Glenwood, Iowa passed away January 26, 2019 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born on July 26, 1930 near Blockton, Iowa. Jack graduated from Conway High School. Following his education, he faithfully served his country in the Navy from 1949-1953. During his time in the service, he was united in marriage to Nancy Lee Bartrem on December 31, 1952 in Bedford, Iowa. After his honorable discharge, they moved to Kansas City, Kansas. In 1960, he moved to a farm community in Lenox, Iowa. In 1985 the couple moved to Glenwood, Iowa. Jack returned to Lenox in 2017.
Jack was employed as a parts manager for heavy highway construction materials. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, dancing and singing. He was a member of the American Legion and the Lenox United Presbyterian Church. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Preceded in death by wife Nancy, parents Turner and Bessie Rusco Stitt, step-father Leland Stitt, siblings Mildred (Robert) Norton, Royal (Bea) Rusco, Marjorie (Tom) Christensen, daughter-in-law Lorelei Rusco, brothers-in-law Eldon Gould and James Jincks. Survivors include his children Stephen Rusco of Gravity, Iowa; Michael (Roxanne) Rusco of Omaha, Nebraska; Robert Rusco of Glenwood, Iowa; Susan Rusco of Malvern, Iowa; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Beverly Gould and Peggy Jincks. Special friend Gert Trost, extended relatives and friends.The family would like to express their gratitude to the Vintage Park Assisted Living in Lenox and the doctors and nurses at both CHI and Methodist Health systems for the wonderful care given to Jack and his family.
Memorials may be directed to The American Heart Association or St. Jude Cancer Research.
Interment, Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa.

I have special regards for Mr. Rusco. His family will be in my prayers.
Jack was a very special Gramps to our grandchildren and to our son-in-law Charlie. I always enjoyed visiting with him in his later years. What a very nice man! He will be greatly missed!

My sympathies to all the families of Jack. I got to come to know and love this man. I will definitely miss our visits and me bringing a smile to his face when i would bring in his late night snacks of the small ice cream cups! R.I.P. dear Jack????
We loved Jack and we loved to hear him sing!! He loved the Chicken Inn he use to tell us that he played the lottery and if he ever won he would give some to the Chicken Inn. He was such a sweet man. He will be greatly missed!! ♥️????
Jack always made people laugh with his many stories and jokes. All of which were (true)that he told or pulled on folks. He will be missed. Rest In Peace. Bob Brown
I knew Jack for almost 50years I always enjoyed visiting with him. He told like. it was and was a straight shooter. I was lucky enough to get to visit him early last year in Lenox at vintage park. He was a good man and I will miss shooting the breeze with him.
Always enjoyed visiting with Jack. Sure glad we stopped in to see him, when we were home at Christmas. We loved to hear him sing and know he enjoyed singing and good times at The Chicken Inn. Sincere condolences for Gert and his family. From Harold and Connie
