James Donald “Jimmy” Risinger, 57 of Glenwood, IA entered into eternal rest on Aug. 30, 2013 in Council Bluffs, IA. He was born March 8, 1956 to Charles E. Risinger, II and Ruth (North) Risinger in Spokane, WA.
Jimmy always had a smile on his face and never met a person he didn’t like. Jimmy was the centerpiece of the family at all times. He was loved by all and he loved his family. His favorite three words were “I Love You!” Jimmy gave the family much pleasure. He taught all of the family more about how to live life than we could have ever taught him. Even though it was in his own way, he loved God and was a good example of how to live a life that pleases God. Jimmy resided in a nursing home for about 2 weeks before being moved to the hospital on Aug. 29, 2013. He passed away peacefully the next day surrounded by his family.
Preceding Jimmy in death were his parents and brother-in-law Ray Runge. Survivors include his sisters, Ethel (Jan) Cieluch, Sandi Runge, Kathy (Jack) Broady, Terri Hardy; brother, Charles E. Risinger, III; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many friends.
Interment will be held in the Glenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice With Heart 357 Indian Hills Dr. Glenwood, IA 51534.

Jimmie attended the Church of the Nazarene here in Red Oak when I did. He was so dedicated to the church and his church family. Worked very hard at the Pizza Hut also. He was a real sweetheart and will certainly be missed here on earth but now he is where he used to tell us he wanted to go “Heaven”. Rest In Peace Jimmie.
