Johnathan “John” A.J. Bloomer, 18 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away on December 10, 2016 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born March 31, 1998 in Red Oak, Iowa to Michael Ernest Bloomer & Kristen Ellen Thomas.
When able to participate, John was active in athletics. In addition to loving music and reading, he was an avid fisherman, enjoyed riding the three-wheeler with his great uncle and played on his game systems. He never met a stranger and had a heart of “gold”.
Preceding John in passing were his great-grandfathers, Gerald Bartles, Sr. & Forrest Mike Bloomer; great-uncle Rodney Bartles; cousins, Kaleb Peverill & Brandi Bartles. Survivors include his parents, Michael Ernest Bloomer of Glenwood, Iowa, Kristen Ellen Thomas of Red Oak, Iowa; sister, Joanna Bloomer of Red Oak, Iowa; grandparents, “Pampa” Ernest & “Mama” Sherry of Emerson, Iowa; uncles Matt “Boney” Bloomer of Emerson, Iowa; Sam Bloomer of Omaha, NE; aunt, Anna Thomas; great-grandmother, Rose Bartles of Glenwood, IA; Earl Thies & Margaret Helen Bloomer of Glenwood, IA; several great-aunts, great- uncles, cousins & friends.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
