Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tabor Cemetery, Tabor, Iowa

Memorials may be made the Glenwood Golf Course, Glenwood, Iowa or Hospice With Heart.

Joseph Edward Tobin, 91, of Glenwood, IA, formerly of Council Bluffs, IA and Tabor, IA, entered into eternal rest on Nov. 16, 2007 at his home in Glenwood, IA. He was born in Madelia, MN on May 1, 1916 to Joe & Nellie Mae (Turner) Tobin.

Joseph was united in marriage to Doris May Wentworth on July 10, 1937 in Logan, IA. To this union seven children were born. Joseph worked on the railroad as a craftsman bricklayer, and later became employed as a carpenter with the Glenwood Resource Center, retiring in 1978. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and cards, fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling and always loved to be with his family.

Preceding Joseph in death were his parents, Joe and Nellie Tobin, wife Doris on Aug. 20, 1997, infant children: Joyce, Jolene, and James Tobin, sister Chlorinda McSorley and grandson, Jessie Tobin. He is survived by his children: Betty & husband Ron Bales of Glenwood, IA; Kathleen Cloyed and special friend Chuck Douglass of Tabor, IA; Michael & wife Paula of Modesto, CA; Patrick Tobin of Tabor, IA; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild.
