Kathleen Ann Colpitts, 71 of Glenwood, Iowa passed away May 2, 2019 in Glenwood, Iowa. She was born January 8, 1948 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Raymond Nelson and Kathryn Ann (Howard) Lewis. Kathy was united in marriage to Thomas Franklin Colpitts, III on October 14, 1967 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Thomas Franklin Colpitts, IV, Raymond Terry Colpitts and Kathryn (Katy) Colpitts.
Kathy enjoyed watching movies with her favorite being Prince of Egypt. She collected Pepsi items of all kinds. In earlier years she and Tom enjoyed playing cards with friends. Bingo was another of her favorite activities. She was a member of Catholic Daughters. Her family was very special to her and she adored her grandchildren and great-grandson.
Preceding Kathy in passing were her parents, husband Tom and infant brother Michael Lewis. Survivors include her children Thomas Franklin Colpitts, III and wife Elizabeth; Raymond Terry and wife Stephanie Colpitts and Kathryn (Katy) Colpitts all of Glenwood, Iowa; grandchildren Aaliyah (Emily) Blue Colpitts; Jason Colpitts and Tyler Colpitts; great-grandson Jax Thomas Clayton; siblings Dan (Jim) Lewis of Palm Springs, California; Steve (Darla) Lewis of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Karen (Mike) Culjat of St. Joseph, Missouri; Kay Owens of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.
Interment: Tuesday, May 7, 2019, 2:00 P.M., St. Joseph Cemetery, East Pierce Street and McPherson Avenue, Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

Our prayers and sympathy for the loss of your mother. She was a beautiful lady and a good friend.. We enjoyed talking about our families and watching you kids grow up together. If there is anything you need please let me know. God Bless you all.
I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Please accept my deepest condolences. Isaiah 25:8 promises a time when ‘death will be swallowed up forever’ and God ‘will wipe the tears from all faces.’ May He provide you with the comfort and strength needed at this time.
