Larry D. Filkins

Larry D. Filkins, 85 of Glenwood, Iowa formerly of Texas passed away August 1, 2022 in Glenwood. He was born July 21, 1937 in Glenwood, Iowa to Welmer Ernest and Alice Pearl (Lutz) Filkins.

Larry faithfully served his country in the United States Navy. He also was a fire alarm installer for Tyco until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, his dogs and guns.

Preceding Larry in passing were his parents, son Larry, grandson Tanner, brothers Deryl and Lyle.

Survivors include his son Dan and wife Sherri Filkins of Cleburne, Texas; grandsons Kyle Filkins of Fairbanks, Alaska; Brandon Filkins of Arlington, Texas; Dylan Filkins of Cleburne, Texas; granddaughter Hunter Filkins of Cleburne, Texas; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers Wendell Filkins of Glenwood, Iowa; sisters Donna Garrett of Ogden, Iowa; Pat Garges of Council Bluffs, Iowa; brothers Don Filkins, Richard Filkins and Kenneth Filkins; extended relatives and friends.

Interment to be held at a later date.
