LeRoy Gerald Bower

Celebration of Life: Tuesday, November 21, 2023, 10:30 A.M., Peterson Mortuary, 212 S. Locust Street, Glenwood, Iowa.

LeRoy Gerald Bower, 80 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska passed away November 15, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born March 26, 1943 in Malvern, Iowa to Ralph and Bernice (Caudell) Bower. LeRoy grew up in Malvern and graduated from Malvern High School in 1961. LeRoy was united in marriage to Dorothy Jeanne Stille on July 4, 2000 in Beaver Lake, Nebraska.  He was a member of the Army National Guard. LeRoy was employed as a banker, construction contractor, and mortgage lender prior to his retirement.

Some of his hobbies included golfing and motorcycle riding. He was an excellent craftsman and loved music of any kind.

Preceding LeRoy in passing were his parents and son Steven L. Bower. Survivors include his loving wife Jeanne Bower of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; son Michael R. Bower and wife Ann M. Powell and their son Jack D. Bower of Winthrop, Washington; sister Barbara Asman of Des Moines, Iowa; extended relatives and many friends.

Interment to be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family.

    Jeanne,
    I am so very sorry to hear about LeRoy’s passing. He was one of my favorite patients at the dentist office for all the years that I worked there. He was a wonderful person.
