Lester Dwight Millsap, 59 of Glenwood, Iowa entered into eternal rest on March 6, 2006 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. He was born September 30, 1946 in Council Bluffs to Lester Martin & Della Loretta (Nagel) Millsap. Dwight graduated from Glenwood High School in 1965. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Jean Hough on July 23, 1965 in St. Joseph, Michigan. To this union one daughter Karen was born.

Dwight was employed with Howard’s Body Shop and later became self-employed owning his own shop. He was forced to retire early due to health reasons. Some of Dwight’s favorite pastimes were drag racing, stock car races, restoring cars and his enthusiasm as a Nascar fan, especially when it came to the big race of the Daytona 500. He loved being with his grandchildren and sharing his love for art. He would draw cars, animals and many holiday drawings for his grandchildren. Dwight was an avid Seahawks fan and was thrilled to be able to watch them play in the Super Bowl. He loved camping, fishing and listening to Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson and the Beatles.

Dwight was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Millsap of Glenwood, IA; daughter, Karen Batten of Glenwood, IA; three grandchildren Danielle Frazier, Jordan Poe and Kaylyn Poe; mother: Della Millsap of Tabor, IA; brother Duane Millsap of Glenwood, IA; brother-in-law: Lynn Hough of Webster City, IA and a host of other relatives and friends.
