Interment will be in the Tabor Cemetery, Tabor, Iowa.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in Glenwood, Iowa.

Lucille Marie Delavan, 94, of Glenwood, IA entered into eternal rest on Nov. 23, 2011 in Council Bluffs, IA. She was born June 18, 1917 in Mills County, IA to Harvey & Elsie (May) Kirk. Following high school, Lucille was united in marriage to Dallas Wilford Delavan on Feb. 26, 1936 in Council Bluffs, IA. To this union two sons were born, Kenneth and Lyle.

Lucille was employed in many different restaurants and cafes around the local area and also worked in various retail department stores. She was a former member of Shady Grove Club in Tabor, Garden Club and First Christian Church in Glenwood. She thoroughly enjoyed raising flowers and spent numerous hours taking care of her beautiful plants. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but they take comfort in knowing she is with God and her loved ones that have gone before her.

Preceding Lucille in death were her parents, Harvey and Elsie Kirk, husband Dallas Delavan on Dec. 11, 1991, two sisters, Mabel Sargent and Rose Smith. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth & wife Sandra Delavan of Tabor, IA; Lyle Delavan of Glenwood, IA; 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, extended relatives and many friends.
