Mae Darlene Ehlers, 85 of Omaha, Nebraska formerly of Glenwood, Iowa passed away May 18, 2020. She was born on June 8, 1934 in Leigh, Nebraska to Glen Rex and Ardath Marie (Podany) Bridges.

Darlene was raised in Leigh, Nebraska and graduated from Leigh High School in 1952. She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Arlan Gerald Ehlers on August 18, 1953 in Leigh, Nebraska. To this union three daughters were born, Debbie, Carrie and Kelly.

Darlene was employed at the Glenwood State Hospital as a secretary for Area 1 for over 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting, was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Preceding Darlene in passing were her parents and husband. Survivors include her daughters Debbie (Marty) Meyers of Aurora, Colorado; Carrie (Chuck) Ward of Omaha, Nebraska; Kelly Qvern of Canton, Georgia; grandchildren Erin (Dennis) Griffin of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Nicholas Meyers (Lindsay Madonia) of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; Sarah (Bryant) Travis of Lincoln, Nebraska; Alicia (Brian) Dieter of Murdock, Nebraska; Matthew Widger of Lincoln, Nebraska; great-grandchildren Cami Dieter, Addisyn Griffen, Ali Dieter and Mark Dieter; sister Ardelis (Dick) Weir of Monee, Illinois; extended relatives and many friends.

A memorial fund has been established.
